You're watching a Boiler Room set. Or a 2-hour festival mix on YouTube. Or someone's live stream mix that just got uploaded. The music is incredible and you want every track. But how do you identify them all — and then actually buy them?
The old way involves rewinding every few minutes, Shazaming each track, noting it down, then searching Beatport one by one. An hour-long set could take you an hour just to catalog. CratePilot cuts that down to 30 seconds.
When you paste a YouTube URL, CratePilot uses a multi-step approach to extract the tracklist:
Here's the logic:
00:00 Artist - Track Name.Channels like Boiler Room, Cercle, and most DJ label channels include full timestamped tracklists in their video descriptions. These extract cleanly with near-perfect accuracy.
Any YouTube URL works — youtube.com/watch?v=... or youtu.be/... short links. Live streams, archived sets, mixes, all supported. Make sure you're on the specific video page, not a playlist.
Go to cratepilot.polsia.app, make sure the URL tab is selected, and paste your YouTube link. You can also just paste it and hit Enter — CratePilot auto-detects YouTube URLs and starts immediately.
YouTube sets take a bit longer than 1001Tracklists — typically 15–30 seconds. CratePilot first checks the video description, then if needed searches 1001Tracklists. You'll see status updates in real time.
Once matched, you see every track with confidence scores. High-confidence (green) means exact Beatport match. Use Add All to Cart to open tracks sequentially, or Copy Links to save the Beatport URLs for later.
Not every YouTube set includes a tracklist in the description. Here's what happens in each case:
CratePilot automatically searches 1001Tracklists using the video title. Many popular sets (Boiler Room, fabric, FABRICLIVE, DC-10 recordings, etc.) are logged there even if the YouTube uploader didn't include a tracklist.
If neither source has a tracklist, you'll see an error suggesting Paste Mode. This is most common for:
If CratePilot can't find the tracklist, click the Paste Tracklist tab. Copy the tracklist from the video's comment section (fans often post tracklists there), the video description, or any other source. Paste in "Artist - Title" format, one per line. CratePilot handles the rest.
CratePilot works best with channels that consistently include tracklists in their descriptions. These tend to have the highest success rates:
Some DJs play exclusive edits, mashups, or unreleased tracks that aren't on Beatport at all. CratePilot will still match what it can, but tracks that don't exist in the Beatport catalog will show low confidence or search-only links.
One small quality-of-life feature: when you paste a YouTube or 1001Tracklists URL into the input field, CratePilot automatically starts analyzing without you needing to click the button. It detects recognized domains and kicks off immediately. This saves you the extra click.
No — CratePilot works with recorded/uploaded videos only. Live streams don't have a description tracklist yet, and 1001Tracklists entries are typically added after the stream ends.
YouTube Shorts typically don't have tracklists and usually contain only 1–2 tracks. These won't work well with CratePilot. Paste Mode is the best option if you know what track is in a Short.
Yes — both youtube.com/watch?v=... and youtu.be/... short URLs work. You can share a YouTube video from the app and paste the share URL directly into CratePilot.
That's normal for long sets. CratePilot shows results for what it found, even if some tracks are ID'd (unidentified) or missing. You can still use the matched tracks — partial results are still a huge time saver compared to searching every track manually.
When automatic extraction fails, Paste Mode is your best friend. The YouTube comment section on popular DJ sets often has crowd-sourced tracklists. Fans type out every track they recognize.
To use Paste Mode:
"Artist - Track Title" format (one per line) gives the highest match accuracy. But CratePilot also handles timestamped formats like "00:00 Artist - Title", numbered lists, and most common variations.
